As president and founder of Technical Property Services Inc., Claude Thomas brings comprehensive experience in the assessment, planning, execution, management, and installation of construction projects for both new and renovated properties. With over 25 years in the commercial real estate industry, Mr. Thomas’ background ranges from minor mechanical remediation to multi-million dollar new construction projects.
Prior to forming TPSi in 1993, Mr. Thomas was responsible for over 200 million square feet of retail, commercial, and residential properties. He provided various technical services including: engineering and implementing major new projects; training and supervising building personnel; and performing building surveys for corporate acquisition assessment. He also was responsible for operations management and contract administration for the construction of a 1.2 million square foot office park as well as engineering and executing other major projects for prominent real estate owners throughout North America.

Mr. Thomas, as the President of TPSi, has provided technical consulting and project management services to building owners, property managers, mortgage lenders, tenants, and the Federal government in Washington, DC, and across North America. Projects have included:

Education
Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas, School of Engineering.
He also received an Associate of Business Administration degree
from Northern Virginia Community College. Additionally, Mr. Thomas
has continued his education with courses on asbestos identification
and removal, computer room power systems, energy management and
HVAC control, advanced building systems, and gas turbine technologies.
Professional Affiliations
Mr. Thomas is very active in the professional real
estate community. He is a member of the District of Columbia Building
Industry Association, Building Owner’s Managers Association, and
Commercial Real Estate Women. He is also a member of the Board of
Directors and Executive Committee of the Jubilee Support Alliance,
a Washington, DC-based charitable organization that supports Jubilee
Housing, a low-income housing provider. He was awarded Jubilee’s
Jim & Patty Rouse Award in 2005 for his community efforts.
